Having a strong foundation of knowledge in digital marketing to build on will be key to my success throughout the rest of the course. What I have learned this month in Digital Marketing Fundamentals will help me build a practical digital marketing plan for my company of study, Fouronetwo. Fouronetwo is an apparel brand based out of the most fantastic city in the world (I know I am biased), Pittsburgh, PA. The mission of Fouronetwo is to embrace the city's culture of hardworking, blue-collar folks through custom black and yellow-themed apparel. The knowledge I've learned this month and will continue learning in the coming months will allow me to thrive in creating this digital marketing plan.
Looking back at the last month, I have learned a tremendous amount about digital marketing, which directly relates to creating a solid digital marketing strategy. In our research paper, we discussed two particular analyses: PESTEL and SWOT analysis. In short, these analyses examine internal (SWOT) and external (PESTEL) factors relating to a company's efficiency. While reviewing both studies, I found strengths and weaknesses within Fouronetwo as an apparel and hometown brand. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of Fouronetwo, I will be able to understand what areas need improvement or change. This knowledge is the foundation for the success of my digital marketing strategy. My digital marketing strategy will address how to add value to the brand by implementing successful digital marketing strategies.
Some of the key knowledge I learned during this course came while completing the competitor analysis. Knowing what the competition is doing is essential to your success as a brand. For example, if the competitor is striving in an area, such as types of products sold or customer engagement, incorporating those techniques into your company can only enhance your brand. I would also like to learn more about keyword strategies, trends in the apparel industry, targeting the correct audience, and content creation. As an apparel industry in the digital era, this information will enhance social media presence and the brand's relativity.
The digital marketing fundamental course was a perfect introduction to the ever-changing digital world. The knowledge learned was an excellent foundation for what is ahead and for completing my digital marketing strategy for Fouronetwo. Thanks for reading.
